We have some super tips to transport and cut your cake

CELEBRATION cake how-to's

Cakes these days are reaching new heights, quite literally! But here's the thing - standard boxes aren't always equipped to handle their tall stature. No worries, though, we'll do our best to fashion a suitable box for your cake.

Before hitting the road, give your car a once-over for level spots. Remember, every car is unique. And please, resist the urge to place your cake on a slanted seat. It's a recipe for disaster, risking sliding and potential damage. Instead, opt for a nice flat surface like the trunk or the passenger side floor. For an extra layer of security, toss in a non-skid mat or a trusty towel to keep those boxes from shifting around.

Now, let's talk temperature. Cakes are not fans of heat, so on scorching hot days, it's crucial to keep them cool. If your car's AC struggles to reach the trunk, consider placing the cake on the car floor for a safer journey. And remember, no detours when your cake's on board - sudden changes in temperature could spell disaster, from melting to cracking. And if things get a bit sweaty with the icing, a dab of paper towel should do the trick. Oh, and don't panic if you notice some bubbles forming - it's totally normal when temperatures fluctuate.

When you're behind the wheel, exercise caution. Steer clear of steep ramps, sudden stops, and those pesky speed bumps. Sharp turns? Approach them with care!

How to cut and enjoy your delectable cake:

Hosting a party? Keep those cakes indoors unless you're okay with a melty mess. Trust us, in the sweltering summer heat, they won't stand a chance.

After pickup, promptly refrigerate your cake until a couple of hours before serving. Allowing it to come to room temperature ensures a delightful texture and taste. And if you've got a tall cake, don't fret about the cardboard circle in the middle - it's there for stability. Simply grab a butter knife or cake spatula, lift from the bottom, and separate the layers for easy serving.

Enjoy your cake-filled festivities!

Our pricing varies for each cake, calculated in design time, expertise, size and flavor. Please contact us for pricing.

How much are your cakes?

Refrigeration is KEY! Our cakes and confections are a delicate balance of flour, butter and sugar, if left at room temp or warmer for too long, they will melt and lose stability. Store in the fridge until around an hour before serving. Always transport your sweets COLD!
